Welcome to Homeschool with Moxie. I’m Abby and I want to help you homeschool without overwhelm.
As a former public school teacher, now homeschooling mom of two (we graduated the older three from our homeschool), I am in the trenches just like you.
And I know that in the end, even through the hard days and hard seasons, homeschooling your children is so worth it!
What does it mean to homeschool with moxie?
Homeschooling with moxie means showing up every day with that fierce mama bear energy—grit in your gut, love in your heart, and a deep determination to do what’s right for your kids, no matter what the culture says. It’s about pushing through the hard seasons, trusting your instincts, and persevering even when it’s lonely or messy. You’re not just teaching lessons—you’re raising humans with purpose, and that takes serious courage. Homeschooling with moxie means you don’t back down, because you know your why, and you’re all in.

This blog was originally a way to document our daughter’s adoption story! That’s the reason behind the original site URL – 4onemore. Homeschooling has given us the flexible life with time together as a family that allowed us to adopt our sweet girl and bond with her.
Fast forward to today and we’ve graduated three from our homeschool, with only two left at home. Wow, that went by way too fast!
