Wool sweaters are an inexpensive and versatile craft medium. You can find them at thrift stores or yard sales for only a couple dollars. The bigger the better when you’re shopping for wool sweaters, because if you intend to felt them, they will shrink!
The felting process makes the fibers of the wool hold together in such a way that you can cut felted wool and the yarns will not unravel.
