Are you looking for a simple yet chic fall wreath design that fits well with the fall and Halloween seasons without looking tacky? Then the Nevermore Raven Wreath is for you! This wreath makes use of upcycled and found objects so that having a stylish wreath on your door won’t break the bank.
I designed this wreath several years ago and have sold them in my Etsy shop, but this year was an extra special year for the Nevermore raven wreath. It was featured in the Better Homes & Gardens Halloween Tricks & Treats magazine!
You’ll have to check at the end of this post for my wreath’s page spread in the BH&G magazine. I wasn’t particularly happy with their photography. Let me know if you agree in the comments! I wouldn’t suggest using this wreath on a black door because the raven needs to pop.
It’s a simple wreath to make, but its simplicity adds to its stunning look.
But first, The Raven.
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore—
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
“’Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door—
Only this and nothing more.”

Nevermore Fall Raven Wreath Tutorial
This fall raven wreath uses mainly up cycled or found pieces – a discarded frame, a broken branch and a dollar store bird.
Supplies

Round frame without the glass (or this one)
Branch
Fabric scrap for hanging
Raven (I found mine at the Dollarama) –> I did cut off its legs, so you might want a wire cutter for this part
Simply spray your frame, glue on the branch, glue on the raven, attach the fabric scrap and you’re done! See, it’s so easy.
I have had several of these in my shop, and they always sell fast!

“This is by far my absolute favorite fall home decoration; it is displayed prominently in our family room. I love the modern, yet vintage feel it has… I get compliments on this all the time — I *love* it. Thank you!!”
Here’s the photo from the BH&G Halloween Tricks & Treats magazine. I don’t love it (see what I mean about the black raven and dark stick against the black door?), but I’m still excited to see my work in print!

If you are feeling wild and impetuous or just macabre, try a purple frame with a black wired ribbon. Purple is a Victorian mourning color and would look exceptional!
