Celebrate Small Wins {Productivity Challenge}

Sometimes you don’t think you’ve progressed until you look back to see where you’ve been. Here’s some encouragement to celebrate the small wins in your productivity growth.

This post is Day #16 of our 25-Day Productivity Challenge! You can find the entire round-up HERE. Make sure you pin this post so you can find it later and don’t forget to take action!

Why looking back matters

I know, I know – we’re not supposed to run the race by looking backwards! But sometimes you have to take account of where you’ve been to fully appreciate where you are now.

It’s like when you look back at pictures of your sweet baby – but he’s 11 in real life! And you forgot all the changes he’s been through because you’re seeing him in the day-to-day of his 11-year-old self. But when you look back and see how small and cute he was, you can see how much he’s grown!

The same is true in your productivity – system building, delegation to team members, creating habits, and changing your mindset with your 168 hours! Only when you look back to where you started are you able to appreciate the growth.

How have you been doing with the 25 Day Productivity Challenge? If you’ve taken 10 minutes a day to work through the action steps, then you should be seeing some forward momentum in working in your priorities and toward your goals.

Celebrating small wins will motivate forward momentum

Go ahead and use today’s challenge to celebrate some small wins in your productivity. No win is too small!

Have you:

  • done a weekly time audit
  • created a chore system
  • delegated to your team
  • decluttered one hot spot
  • created a don’t do list
  • set your goals for the quarter
  • decided on 1-2 habits

List all the changes you’ve made since beginning the productivity challenge and celebrate! What’s a small motivation that you could promise yourself every time you look back and see forward momentum?

Is it:

  • coffee date with hubby
  • 30 minutes of guilt free social media
  • stop at your favorite drive thru for a treat
  • buy a new book
  • get your nails done

Whatever it is – go ahead and motivate yourself with some reward. Then in a few weeks, look back again, celebrate the small wins, enjoy your reward and keep going!

Check out the complete 25 Day Productivity Challenge!
