Just do it

Some of us are so scared of messing up or not completing a goal that we don’t even start! That’s so sad! I want to encourage you right here and now to start implementing what you’ve been learning about productivity.

Even if you can’t do it all, even if you don’t have much time, still you need to just do it. Do what you can, even a little bit, and over time – you will be amazed at the increase in your productivity when you make little changes.

Imperfect steps are still steps

Many of us are waiting for perfection. We feel like we can’t start until the time is perfect or the situation is perfect or until we know all the information.

Nope, sorry to burst your bubble. But imperfect steps forward are still steps. And in the long run, you’ll be glad you started when you did!

I always thinking of dieting when I think of this concept. My husband and I have had great success on the keto diet at different points in the last few years. But after the holidays, when we’ve definitely eaten too many sugary treats, we were ready to get back to keto. But there never was a perfect time. We both have birthdays in January, so there was that. Then, what if you’re invited over to someone’s house – how can you do keto there? Then, there’s every other holiday.

Or Tuesday.

Or Friday.

You see, there was not a perfect time. So, we jumped in on January 1st even though we still had bags of dark chocolate with sea salt from the holidays. Mmmm.

Now, two weeks in? We’re glad we started when we did.

And the same is true for your productivity journey! Just do it. Just start. Implement what you know. See what a difference taking action can make a few months from now.
