Homeschool Scheduling Changes

Jen Dodrill from Jen Dodrill History at Home joined us in the Homeschool Mom Collective this month to talk about new year resets and goal setting for our homeschools.

One obvious change many of us make in the new year is a curriculum overhaul. Most of us tend to feel the freedom to change up resources and curriculum plans if they’re just not working. Side note – if you’re a new homeschool mom and you think you have to finish the curriculum even if it’s causing frustration and tears – you don’t! Feel the freedom to make changes with curriculum even mid-year.

But the topic that I pulled from our interview with Jen was about schedule frustrations. And this isn’t just talking about when you cover English or history during your day. This is talking about a schedule overview for your life. When are you doing errands. When are you fitting in all the “extras” that take you outside the home?

For some of you, the homeschool schedule is what needs to change in order to prevent burnout. So listen in on this small part of our conversation with Jen and see if it resonates with you.
