How to Nurture a Love of Learning in Homeschool

We know in our hearts that it really doesn’t matter if our kids know all the math facts, or historical dates, or grammar rules. But it does matter a whole lot whether we nurture a love of learning that helps them continue to be life-long learners. If that’s your heartbeat, you’ll love this episode of the Homeschool with Moxie Podcast with our special guest, Bekki Sayler.

What does it mean to nurture a love of learning in your homeschool? Bekki Sayler shows us how to lean into the flourishing and fun stage.

Episode 230. The Secret Sauce of Homeschooling

We know in our hearts that it really doesn’t matter if our kids know all the math facts, or historical dates, or grammar rules. But it does matter a whole lot whether they love to learn and continue to be life-long learners.

If that’s your heartbeat, you’ll love this episode with our special guest, Bekki Sayler, from A Better Way to Homeschool. She has a few things to say about leaning into the flourishing and fun stage after successfully homeschooling her five sons.

Professional nerf bullet dodger and mom of five rambunctious sons, Rebekah Sayler, is a 25+ year homeschool veteran with a passion for teaching moms about the heart of homeschooling. When she’s not spending time with her family, she can be found at A Better Way to Homeschool.

Listen to my conversation with Bekki as she helps us see how to lean into the flourishing and fun stage of homeschooling.

Here’s episode 230 of the Homeschool with Moxie Podcast.

As a momma to 13 and on my last “student” at home, thank you for this refresh. I listen to your podcast each morning as I walk and say, “Yes! I wish everyone could understand. ” We’re kindred spirits. Starting off on this journey in 1986/7 helped as we weren’t able to get any curriculum! The “big guys” would only sell to schools with a letter head and we would have had to gone to a printer for that! No computers, no Pinterest bloggers, just me and the Holy Spirit! KONOS a few years later taught me how to relax and enjoy my growing brood of children.

I came on here today to find “show notes”, hoping to inspire my pile of project notecards. I get the usual lapbook, brochure, PowerPoint presentation, but I was hoping for more ideas…more modern (that’s where I find you help me most). We’re using Trello and loving it!

    Keep up the good work.
    Abundant blessings,
    Val Colvin
