Tips for homeschooling an only child

  • You don’t have to teach everything on your own
  • Outsource some of the teaching
  • Join small groups for sports, activities, co-op work
  • Get plugged in to your community
  • Learn life skills & volunteer
  • Let your kids explore their passions & interests
  • You can give your kids a well-rounded education
  • “Socialization” in a classroom is not really socialization
  • Homeschooled kids can truly socialize in their neighborhood and community
  • Look into community service options
  • Hang in there! It can be hard, but you can do it!
